Yuki Kuwabara was a skateboarder at Wild Wheels skateboard park in Covina, California in the late 1970s. She was featured in an article called “Surfers with wheels: skateboard parks banking on safety to keep their customers rolling in” by Mike Ward. The article was published by the Los Angeles Times in the October 9, 1977 issue and Yuki’s photo was taken by Joel Lugavere.
The skatepark was memorable because there was an A&W restaurant nearby where kids would go for root beer floats after their skate session!
Yuki (possibly Yukiko?) is currently a mystery skater if anyone has a connection! She looks to be around 13 in the photo, so born in the early 1960s.
