Wendy Zaks appears in an ad within Thrasher March 1989 as a member of the Powell Peralta Factory Team. In 1987 Powell Peralta Headquarters was situated in downtown Santa Barbara, CA and built a ramp called the Crossbones ramp behind their Research & Development building. Photos of Wendy skating the ramp are taken by John Oliver. Wendy was friends with fellow ramp skateboarder Krishna Swenson, also from Santa Barbara.
